How would you reduce California’s budget deficit?

On Thursday, June 24th at 7 pm, College of San Mateo will be hosting a Budget Challenge at the CSM Theatre, an evening of discourse and problem solving with Assemblymember Jerry Hill and Next 10*.

This will be a valuable opportunity for us to let our representatives know which solutions to the current budget issues we believe are most viable and useful to us. In addition to taking the Budget Challenge, we will be discussing the reasons for the choices we make during the program.

Assemblymember Hill has been very pleased with the outstanding civic activity taking place in our SMCCD community. As a result, he has asked Erin Scholnick and Rudy Ramirez, members of CSM’s social science faculty, to coordinate this event. Please join us on June 24th at 7 pm to share your solutions to this legislative challenge. We all live in California and our opinions matter.
